Reporting to the Optimization and Process Specialist (OPS), the Data Processing Support Role will focus on data analytics and will be responsible for delivering on-going support to the administration department in managing our clients. The Data Processing Support Role will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data and present it in ways to help with the day-to-day operations of the team. The Data Processing Support Role will focus on taking data from several different formats and transform it to fit into our in-house systems. The Data Technician must have familiarity and comfort using MS Excel. The Data Processing Support Role will assist with new group setups and is responsible for general technical assistance, project support and performing related tasks to assist with other initiatives supporting the strategic direction of the department. The Data Processing Support Role acts as a back-up to other senior positions within the department.

More specifically, the Data Processing Support Role will:

- Manipulate data from a variety of external sources
- Review and evaluate data for completeness and accuracy
- Perform data management activities in accordance with service level agreements, client demands and regulatory requirements
- Perform data audits while analyzing and identifying discrepancies
- Assist with developing process improvements for data management activities
- Generate data reports on periodic basis for management and clients
- Identify and correct data entry errors
- Address any issues, questions and problems in an accurate and timely manner
- Create tools to assist with troubleshooting problems and assist with enquiries by researching and identifying the source of problems
- Participate in various special projects including continuous improvement initiatives
- Support and maintain data feeds and help build simple frameworks
- Assist with training the staff on using the tools developed by the department
- Test and evaluate system changes
- Execute data validation programs and resolve data discrepancies
- Assist with new client implementations

**What does it take?**
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as business administration or the equivalent training acquired from a combination of relevant work experience and education;
- Proficiency in MS Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong initiative, planning, and problem-solving skills, including an ability to focus on both details and results
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Comfortable presenting to groups of all sizes
- The ability to handle issues professionally and stand up well under pressure
- Demonstrate good judgement, reliability, and professionalism in fast paced environment
- Sound judgement and critical thinking skills
- Adapt and implement procedures to meet changing client needs
- Bilingualism is an asset (English & French)
