**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Student Experience Office facilitates student-centered learning that enhance the university experience by: offering transition support, leadership opportunities, and experiential learning programs. Reporting to the Director, the Digital Content and Activities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all digital content production and overseeing the social presence of the Student Life Team (International Student Services Office & the Student Experience Office). The incumbent is responsible for coordinating programs and initiatives that fall within the transition support and student engagement mandate of the office that enhance the co-curricular experiences of all Carleton undergraduate students. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, Summer Orientation, CU 1001, Faculty Orientation Program Support and participation in recruitment events.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Group leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of student life and related issues.
- Presentation experience.
- Training experience.
- Ability to translate student development theory to practice.
- Proven experience in building relationships with partner organizations based on trust, respect, genuineness, and commitment.
- Excellent writing skills for website content, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Broad knowledge of computer software, including CRM systems, WordPress, and the Adobe suite.
- High familiarity and comfort with social media platforms and emerging platforms for student engagement.

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Completion of a four year Bachelor degree.
- Three (3) years’ experience with advising and working with student organizations, including experience coordinating large scale special events, or student activities in a university or college setting.
- Experience in creative and promotional writing and developing content for and monitoring social media sites is important,
- Experience with both advising and supervising student staff/groups.
- Understanding of student transition and the importance of student engagement.
- Understanding of student development theory and intentional program design.
