**About Us**

As part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, the Digital Health division provides quality information to health professionals, the public, researchers, and health system decision makers. Through collaboration with the health system, we support the development of data and technical standards, maintain key health databases, carry out analytics and evaluation, and support health research. We support healthcare within Newfoundland and Labrador, including patients and communities through the delivery of information technology (IT) and digital health services applied in the healthcare system to provide quality care. Our mandate includes the development and implementation of a confidential and secure provincial electronic health record as well as other provincial clinical information programs, including the change management required to support adoption by end user clinicians.

In alignment with the Provincial Health Accord, NL Health Services will be replacing Meditech Magic and Client Server (CRMS) as well as other digital health systems with a new leading
- edge Health Information System (HIS). This project will be the largest health care system implementation ever launched in Newfoundland and Labrador.

This transformational change will allow us to join other Canadian provinces in the modernization of our provincial health information system. In support of the HIS project, it has been determined that the NL Health Services will require recruitment for positions in Clinical Informatics, Information Technology, Analytics and Change Management.

**About the Role**

The Director of Communications, Change Management and Training (CCMT) oversees these activities throughout the implementation under the direction of the Executive Director. This individual manages the Communication Lead, Change Management Specialists and Trainers and works closely with the Clinical Champions, the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and Project Management Office (PMO) Leads, and the Director of Clinical Informatics.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

- Develop, launch and manage the communications plan.
- Develop stakeholder group-specific engagement and communication plans to drive change and promote benefits realization.
- Function as the single source of information/communication for the HIS implementation project
- Develop, launch and manage the Change Management (CM) plan and clinical adoption activities.
- Develop and manage change management toolkit and curriculum and ensure people readiness for upcoming transformation by developing capabilities and aligning mindsets to support new ways of working
- Develop, launch and manage the training plan and training activities, for both core team and end users
- Ensure that change is adopted and sustained by measuring the success of change and developing strategies to mitigate any risks to change adoption Identify/monitor adoption risks.
- Identify key operational impacts to project. Prepare remediation strategies for the Executive Director
- Familiar with all aspects of the implementation
- Promote the new system and representing it positively to the user community
- Review the progress of the project regularly with the PMO. Reporting issues to the PMO as early as possible. Proposing risk mitigation strategies
- Assist the trainer with developing training curriculum and training power reporting users.
- Participate in strategic planning and establishing strategic goals and objectives for the department and ensure objectives are met.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the division and ensure all staff work within the framework.
- Maintain and facilitating strong working relationships and knowledge transfer opportunities with key health system stakeholders.
- Oversee budget planning, financial management, and human resource management functions of the division.

**About You**

Your education and experience include:

- Bachelors Degree preferably in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or another field.
- Minimum ten years of relevant experience in Change Management, Communications/Public Relations.
- Progressively responsible work experience, including managerial experience.
- Experience facilitating communication to multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience working with a project team.
- Experience writing, designing, and delivering a range of communication materials across different mediums tailored for the appropriate audience.
- Experience supporting Digital Health Project implementations.
- Formal management, project management and privacy training would be an asset.
