Dental Assistant

Richmond, Canada Ora Dental Care Full time

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain dental records
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Strong attention to detail for accurate patient assessment and medical documentation
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for medical records management
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions and restorations
- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-35 per week

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
