Corrugated Slotter Operator

Located in Iroquois, ON, Craig Packaging is one of Chicago-based Republic Packaging Corp.'s eight North American operating locations. As a 60-year-old provider of cushion packaging Republic Packaging is known for outstanding design, quality, and customer service - Craig, which specializes in corrugated packaging, shares the same tremendous design, quality, and service capabilities as our parent. In addition, we have a sister company, Impacte, which provides warehouse management services that can complement our packaging products or be a stand-alone service to provide solutions to our customer’s problems.

With our eye toward growth, we are actively working to grow our sales by 50% over the next 3 years and enter new markets with innovative packaging and service offerings. We are seeking an experienced Corrugated Slotter Operator to join our team.

Role responsibilities:

- Perform operator-level functions for a corrugated slotter including setup, adjustment, operation, and in-job maintenance.
- Maintain order and a safe work environment within the work area.
- Perform First Article and in-job part inspections, correcting and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Monitor the overall slotter function and performance.
- Engage with facility maintenance on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and operator-level preventative maintenance.

What you bring:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in the corrugated industry is a plus.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to react quickly and make adjustments to ensure consistency and quality.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
