Marion Street Eatery - FULL TIME FOH MANAGER PROPOSITION:

We are a locally owned neighbourhood food spot serving up fresh quality comfort food.

Looking for a passionate FOH manager, who is team orientated, genuine, creative & career minded.

As our FOH manager you will play a key role in shaping our brand and ensuring that our vision of community, quality, value, love of great food & good people is visible in all the things that we do.

You will be the authority, curator, decision maker & will be responsible for leading, mentoring, developing and setting the direction for a high-volume neighbourhood breakfast and lunch restaurant. There are definite expectations that must be fulfilled within this role; but finding the right person with the right skillset, passion and positivity trumps it all.
- Have serving and previous management experience (minimum three years)
- Be a proven industry leader and self motivator who can maintain a positive workspace
- Manage daily operations; including problem solving, overseeing, mentoring, motivating & educating our team (this includes team building, staff meetings & holding our team accountable to Eatery standards)
- Be the gatekeeper of quality, consistency and organization as it pertains to ensuring customer & employee expectations whistle focusing on our vision and goals
- Have the ability and willingness to want to learn all aspects of our business & must be able to ‘muscle the hustle’ (certain shifts require you to be active on the floor; bussing, hosting, barista, serving - we want to see you work alongside the team - always lead by example & willing to take on any job)
- Be understanding of the demands of a fast-paced restaurant - maintain positive composure, consistency & order and handle all public relations
- Be an effective communicator who builds trust and can be relied upon for honesty and integrity
- Be willing to compliment, collaborate and grow with and alongside our already established team (work together to share goals, challenges and continuously coach our team on ways to progress & improve productivity)
- Build from, become acquainted with, care about & grow from our community of customers
- Be creative and eager to support our restaurant, the industry & its growth - and get involved in local community events
- Be able to control operational costs, have extensive food knowledge and identify measures to cut waste and operate efficiently
- The sun never sets at the Eatery - must be available to work daytime & weekends
