**About the role**:
The **OR Supervisor** is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, and safe patient care services while managing both human and environmental resources within the operating room, MDR and Stores. This role oversees the clinical practice of all professional and ancillary support staff in the OR, adhering to ORNAC and CSA standards, peri-operative patient care protocols, and facility policies and procedures.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Optimizing operating room utilization and staff allocation. Assists with coverage needs in the OR providing direct patient care when necessary.
- Management of surgical slates and organization of daily operating room equipment needs.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with infection control and best practice policies.
- Oversee operational and fiscal management, including quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
- Conduct team member recruitment, orientation, and ongoing performance evaluations.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among clinical and non-clinical teams, facilitating change, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the provincial regulatory body/college of nurses
- Completion of an accredited peri-operative nursing program is a requirement with a minimum 3 years in the intra-operative environment
- Leadership experience preferred
- BLS Certified
- General computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
