Restaurant Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Restaurant Operations
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and guest service skills
- Team player and a self-starter, able to work independently and effectively as required
- Flexible with hours/days of work required.
- Must have previous successful work experience with mínimal supervision.
- 3-5 years in management or supervisory position
- Ability to assist Chef in menu design as well as daily and weekly specials
- Good physical condition, as position can be physically demanding.
- Experience in restaurant sales, marketing and merchandising.
- Previous experience as a successful team leader is a must.
- Ability to speak several languages would be an asset
- Diploma or higher education in hospitality and/or food services would be an asset Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Ability to supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Ability to examine and re-engineer front of house operations, form new policies, and develop and implement new strategies
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Good training, coaching, and mentoring skills are essential
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- High level of proficiency with software packages including Microsoft Office and ability to learn Profitek and Visual 1

FUNCTION:
- Responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant in the absence of the manager, lead trainer for the restaurant and primary role working with merchandising and marketing manager in enhancing revenues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Day to day management of the floor in the absence of the manager
- Staff Training
- Merchandising and marketing with the assistance of the marketing manager
- Drive revenues
- Guest Relations including but not limited to larger parties, repeat customers and in-house guests
- Ordering supplies
- Maintaining a client data base
- Maintain proper staffing levels and attain budgeted labor costs
- Greeting guests
- Ensuring all procedures are properly adhered to
- Address all comments and/or complaints and insure service recovery as needed
- Liaison between hotel departments
- Monitor industry trends and make suggestions for change
- All of the roles and responsibilities of a server
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $19.87 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
