**Job Description**:
Everest Canada is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our Company in the position of Senior Commercial Underwriting Assistant.

As a key member of our Sports and Leisure Division, you will provide underwriting support to our Underwriters. You will be accountable for the management of underwriting documentation, work directly with the underwriting team on day-to-day account handling, and be tasked with pro-actively and effectively communicating with our brokers to ensure that all information is accurate, complete, and up to date with respect to the underwriting process and Everest issued policy documents.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Management of renewal cycle including renewal set up in Oceanwide system; gather renewal info and assist underwriter with the preparation of renewal quotes
- Coordinate loss runs with Claims and provides loss runs to brokers if required; if the account has claims, facilitate with Everest Claims department to provide underwriters with claims details from the Claims Management System (CMS)
- Bind and issue all new line, renewal, and endorsement policy documents and deal with brokers as needed on documentation queries

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED:

- Review and referral of business to the underwriter as needed
- Handle certificates of insurance
- Issue registered letters of cancellation/reinstatement
- Generation of business reports via Qlikview system, as directed
- Completion of M&S Insurance to Value calculators
- Ordering of loss control reports as directed by Underwriter
- Review of property valuation data as needed
- Special projects and other duties or responsibilities as assigned

SKILLS REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 1 to 3 years of progressive commercial underwriting experience
- Working knowledge of casualty and property underwriting, with a dedication to self-improvement and development
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relations with brokers and provide superior service
- Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet daily demands and deadlines to fulfill all service requirements
- CIP designation or actively working towards completion of CIP courses
- Bilingualism (French and English) an asset
