**About this job**:
As an **Underwriting Assistant** the task will be to strengthen our Underwriting Team, in our Toronto office. This is an exciting opportunity that allows you to learn about underwriting in the reinsurance business and supporting the Underwriting Team.

**Key skills**:
Your primary objective in this role is to be an active contributor to the Underwriting Team by effectively administering and servicing all lines of business underwritten by the Toronto Branch for the various Business Units.

In more detail your responsibilities will be to:

- Ensure all the submissions received is recorded in Workflow Tool.
- Work closely with Underwriters in Toronto and other PartnerRe locations in Bermuda, Paris, Stamford, and Zurich to ensure all the underwriting recommendations are followed and authorizations are released in a timely manner.
- Bermuda for Catastrophe Programs
- Stamford for bi-furcated (Part XIII) Programs, Financial Lines and Agro Programs
- Zurich for Aviation and Specialty Facultative business
- Support Facultative underwriter in Toronto
- Handle various operational tasks, such as reviewing contractual documents and endorsement requests, issuing facultative certificates, loss tracking, monitoring the performance of accounts (premium, claims, statements of accounts, etc.).
- Contribute to various market analysis studies and projects.
- Interact with brokers and their support team and facultative clients
- Work closely with other units and departments such as Technical Accounting, Claims, and Contract Wording
