**Primary Responsibilities**
In the role of Project Controls Section Lead, we'll count on you to:
- Work with clients to create Programs to assist with their development of large-scale infrastructure projects. This may include partnering with clients who have inherited significantly expanded capital budgets and demands to establish a Programmatic approach for groupings of projects.
- Often will function as a project manager for large projects and programs for a variety of clients.
- Plan, schedule, and assist leading all aspects of multi-disciplined projects.
- Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development.
- Establish and develop client relationships, and be involved with marketing, proposal development, contract development and adherence, engineering design and production meetings,
- Participate in reviews with project owners and/or various governing agencies regarding regulatory compliance issues.
- Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff.
- Coordinate workload through entire project development and verify completion of quality work products on schedule and within budget.
- Direct multiple consultants and project teams.
- Establish sequencing of project from financing to completion
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to verify work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule and financial goals.
- Development of Project Controls Plans and Procedures for Document Control, Cost Control, Risk Management and Schedule Controls
- Maximize project profitability.
- Manage client activities to ensure client satisfaction, promote branding of HDR to the industry and client community and serve as the face of HDR to executive management, board members and project management staff of clients.
- Works with HDR counterparts to develop strategies for: key hires, project pursuits, team growth, area growth and profitability, employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- 10+ years Construction Scheduling experience.
- Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP, CST
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
- Experience with cost management systems, cost analysis, forecasting and change management. Proficiency in using Primavera, Sure Trak and/or other scheduling software required.
- Ability to manage proposal preparation, contract review and negotiation, client relationship and win strategy for medium to large EPC Projects

- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
