**Hours of work: 35 hours per week**
**Who we are**:
The Volunteer Resources Team supports Peel Public Health, Long Term Care and Seniors Services Development to recruit, screen, train, retain and recognize volunteers. We are responsible for recruiting, training, placing, retaining and recognizing volunteers to assist Peel Public Health, Long Term Care and Seniors Services Development in delivering client programs and services.
**What you will do in this role**:
- Collaboratively work with clients within Health Services to identify current and future divisional program volunteer needs
- Develop customized volunteer position descriptions and task specific Placement Description contracts
- Contribute to the development and implementation of divisional program volunteer recruitment including community outreach
- Promote volunteer engagement, ensure risk management best practices and effective retention strategy
- Ensure Volunteer Management Cycle processes and best practices are applied
- Develop communication, promotional and marketing materials including web-site content
- Develop and conduct orientation and deliver specialized divisional program volunteer training
- Assess and assign volunteers to appropriate divisional program volunteer placements
- Conduct regular volunteer follow-up to determine client and volunteer satisfaction
- Collaboratively evaluate the success of the divisional volunteer program in relationship to the planned outcomes and impact assessment
- Summarize volunteer divisional program activity and provide survey results and statistics
- Support divisional program staff to develop, plan and accomplish formal and informal volunteer recognition
**What the role requires**:
- Relevant university degree, combined with 2-3 years experience in volunteer resources management
- Current PAVR-O/CAVR Certification an asset / acquirement expected
- Combination of education and experience may be considered

- Customer-centered philosophy and approach
- Ability to engage and motivate volunteers to achieve desired results
- Ability to build positive relationships with internal clients, volunteers and community stakeholders
- Support Divisional program staff to develop customized volunteer training, evaluation and recognition
- Effective time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal direction
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
**Nice to have**:
- Certificate in Humber College Volunteer Resource Management
**Work Mode & Job Location**: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga worksite. Note: onsite work at other Regional buildings may be occassionally required. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
