Assistant I, Merchandising

Job Description:
Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing support to the Trading department in execution of contracts, logistics, marketing and service functions for a variety of commodities.

Key Responsibilities
- Generates shipping schedule for corn and assigns loads
- Enter contracts, ensure accuracy of files and documents
- Manage assigned customer problems with shipments
- Process settlements and generate customer invoices for grain
- Assists with managing offsite location’s paperwork and inventory balancing

- Has developed knowledge and skills through job related training or considerable experience
- Often entry level for those with work experience in relevant areas
- Works within established procedure with a moderate degree of supervision
- Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations; assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education (Agriculture, Business or Accounting preferred)
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience required
- Advanced Excel skills would also be an asset
