**About the Opportunity**

The Human Resource Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the recruitment, onboarding, training, and support of crew members and ensuring crew-related matters are handled efficiently aboard a docked vessel.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the HR (Human Resources) Manager, the responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job requirements, and desired qualifications.
- Ensures all pre-employment requirements such as drug and alcohol clearance, LandSea or site-specific training and compliance are completed prior to hiring.
- Coordinating crew schedules to ensure the vessel is adequately staffed. This involves planning crew rotations, rest periods, and ensuring compliance with international regulations related to working hours and rest periods for seafarers and BC Employment Standards Act.
- Assigning crew members to specific jobs based on their qualifications, experience, and availability.
- Ensuring that all crew members have the necessary training and certification required for their roles on the vessel. This involves keeping track of certifications, expiration dates and arranging for necessary training when needed.
- Ensuring crew members receive new and updated training and onboarding
- Facilitate crew member onboarding (may include client/guests)
- Handling crew-related matters, such as disciplinary issues, conflict resolution, and liaising with Head Office regarding related issues.
- Support compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining accurate crew records and documentation. This includes records of qualifications, medical fitness, and employment contracts.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years' experience as HR Coordinator or HR Generalist

CPHR an asset
- Excellent communication. Speak, read, and write English
- Completion of University program in Human Resources, Marine Management, or related area.

**Physical Requirements**

Must be physically able to carry out the requirements of the job, including obtaining and holding a valid STCW certificate (training provided) and Marine Medical Certificate

Must be able to work remotely for a minimum of 20 days on board

**About Working on a “Floatel”**

LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650 passenger “Floatel”. The Floatel will be permanently docked in Squamish, B.C. and is estimated to operate for up to three years. All crew members onboard the MV Isabelle must have the minimum marine safety certifications required by Transport Canada for the specific job.

Individuals who do not have the required marine safety certifications (see details below) will be required to attend a 5 - 10-day marine safety program. LandSea covers the costs of training, however, crew who do not complete minimum employment contracts are responsible to repay part of all the training costs.

The Human Resource Coordinator will reside on the vessel during shift rotations and typically work between 10 - 12 hours a day. An average shift rotation is approximately 3 weeks on and one week off work. While working onboard, accommodation, full meals, WIFI and health/gym facilities are available 24/7.

**Salary**: $56,402.99-$87,413.38 per year
