**Location**:Fall River YMCA Early Learning Child Care Centre

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Centre Director, the Program Support is accountable for creating a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, communicate and to provide support to families at the Fall River YMCA Early Learning Child Care Centre. The Centre Program Support is responsible for ensuring the Centre is complying with YMCA Playing to Learn program requirements and the Education & Early Childhood Development Regulations and National YMCA Child Protection Standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the safety, needs and well-being of each child in the Child Care Centre.
- Ensure that daily routines are followed: menus (snacks and lunches), cleaning the equipment and the kitchen.
- Communicate with staff and parents on a professional basis
- Assists in program support for shift coverage, staff & child assistance and curriculum
- Adheres to program requirements while following EECD regulations and Child Protection Standards
- Assists in Centre cleanliness, which may include but not limited to: toy and equipment sanitization, classroom clean up, and Centre organization
- Other duties as assigned by Director

**Qualifications & Skills**
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Maintain a clean Child Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record Check which includes a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience working in Child Care is an asset
- Attend YMCA Safeguard aining
- Participate in YMCA Playing to Learn Curriculum Trainings
- Level 1 and 2
