**SOMMAIRE**

La sage-femme est membre de l'équipe interdisciplinaire du Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury (CSCGS). Ses fonctions principales consistent à dispenser des soins complets aux femmes et à leurs bébés au cours de la grossesse, du travail, de la naissance et de la période post-natale en surveillant la santé de la mère et de l'enfant. Elle travaille en collaboration avec les autres membres de l’équipe de soins primaires dans le but de fournir de contribuer aux soins de haute qualité du CSCGS. Elle implique la clientèle et la collectivité dans les choix ayant trait à la santé, afin de les aider à satisfaire leurs besoins et à améliorer et maintenir leur bien-être. La prestation des services comprend l'approche individuelle ou de groupe, selon les besoins. Les services et les programmes sont offerts au Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury (CSCGS), à domicile ou ailleurs dans la communauté, selon le besoin.

**RESPONSABILITÉS**
- Renseigner et expliquer toutes les étapes de la grossesse jusqu’à l’accouchement et assurer l’enseignement sur la grossesse, les accouchements et la parentalité;
- Dispenser des soins complets aux femmes et à leurs bébés au cours de la grossesse, du travail, de la naissance et de la période post-natale en surveillant la santé de la mère et de l'enfant;
- Surveiller le travail et les accouchements spontanés normaux;
- Consulter et au besoin, référer aux autres membres de l’équipe ou aux spécialistes (psychologue, médecin généraliste en périnatalité, obstétricien-gynécologue) si des complications surviennent pendant la grossesse;
- Procéder à l’accouchement du nouveau-né, examiner le bébé et dispenser les soins nécessaires au nouveau-né et à la mère et les diriger vers les services médicaux appropriés, au besoin;
- Prodiguer des conseils, des renseignements et du soutien aux nouveaux parents sur les soins à apporter aux nouveau-nés et aux nourrissons, et ce pendant 6 semaines après la naissance;
- Conseiller, éduquer et sensibiliser la population en matière de contraception, de planification des naissances et de santé reproductive.
- Travailler des heures flexibles et se déplacer, au besoin, afin de bien répondre aux besoins de la clientèle et de la collectivité.

**EXIGENCES**
- Baccalauréat en science de la santé, profession de sage-femme ou l’équivalent;
- Membre actif sans restriction de l’Ordre des sages-femmes de l’Ontario;
- Membre actif de l’Association ontarienne des sages-femmes;
- Détenir et maintenir la certification en réanimation cardiorespiratoire, en capacité d’intervention en situation d’urgence obstétricale et en réanimation néonatale.
- Détenir une preuve d'assurance
- Connaissance et capacité à appliquer les standards de soins postnataux du Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health;
- Connaissance des systèmes régional et provincial des soins de santé.
- Engagement envers l’approche globale, le contexte communautaire et le travail d’équipe;
- Appréciation systématique de la clientèle en tant qu’individu, membre d’une famille, membre d’une collectivité, etc.;
- Bonnes connaissances en informatique: courriel, traitement de textes; dossier informatisé;
- Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, écrit et parlé;
- Vaccination complète contre la COVID-19
- Accès à un véhicule.
