**/What You’ll Be Doing**

RDN is looking to hire from the English-speaking linguistic minority community of the Québec City region to support the role, mandate, and day-to-day operation of the organization and work of the communications officer. This opportunity will provide the individual an opportunity to use and develop their skill set while working in a bilingual work environment.
- Writing, developing, and designing media materials, which can include press releases, social media content, newsletters and blog posts.
- In collaboration with RDN’s member organizations, the employee will develop and design branding and marketing tools, along with content and templates for their communication strategy.
- Implementation of a communications plan for RDN including managing social media platforms. Create and distribute press releases and newsletters as part of RDN’s communication plan.
- Editing, translation, and interpretation of various documents as required.
- Provide support to existing members of RDN.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- University level student position. Bachelor’s degree in a related field in progress or recent graduate.
- Bilingual: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French are essential.
- Have experience in any or all of the following areas: communications, research, marketing, social media, and information technology.
- Have an understanding of and an interest in working with and aiding English-speaking minority communities across Québec.
- Good digital literacy: comfortable and experienced working with cloud-based computing systems, including office operations, tele-meetings and social media.
- Be responsible and autonomous, able to work independently.

Les rôles et responsabilités sont les suivants:

- Rédiger, développer et conceptualiser des communiqués de presse, du contenu pour les médias sociaux, des bulletins d’information et des articles de blog.
- En collaboration avec les organisations membres du RDR, l’employé développera des outils de branding et de marketing pour leur stratégie de communication, ainsi que du contenu et des gabarits.
- Mise en œuvre d’un plan de communication pour RDR, y compris la gestion des plateformes de médias sociaux. Créer et distribuer des communiqués de presse et des bulletins d’information.
- Édition, traduction et interprétation de divers documents, selon les besoins.
- Fournir un soutien aux membres existants du RDR.

**NOTRE CANDIDAT IDÉAL POSSÈDE LES COMPÉTENCES ET L'EXPÉRIENCE SUIVANTES**:

- Poste étudiant de niveau universitaire. Baccalauréat dans un domaine relié en cours.
- Bilingue : de solides compétences en communication verbale et écrite en anglais et en français sont essentielles.
- Avoir de l’expérience dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : communications, recherche, marketing, médias sociaux et technologies de l’information.
- Avoir une compréhension et un intérêt pour le travail avec et l’aide aux communautés minoritaires d’expression anglaise du Québec.
