**JOB TITLE: BUYER**

**REPORTS TO: PURCHASING MANAGER, CORPORATE**

**JOB FUNCTION**:
In support of the mission, vision and values of SyBridge Technologies, the **_Buyer _**is responsible for supporting all members of their team. Reporting to the **_Purchasing Manager, Corporate_** the _Buyer _supports the Purchasing Department by meeting deadlines, increasing customer satisfaction and by working with the Purchasing and Logistics Teams to meet or exceed all goals and objectives required from this department.

**JOB DESCRITPION**

**General Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review open requisitions in costing screen of job vision related to machine outsource.
- Formulate RFQ’s and Competitively quote various vendors.
- Review quotes negotiate, evaluate best pricing and timing and issue Purchase Order.
- Follow-up with vendor throughout the sourcing process and field questions to the appropriate engineer/requisitioner.
- Track open orders with vendors.
- Provide feedback to vendors relating to timing and quality on a regular basis.
- Perform administrative Purchasing duties as required by the Senior Buyers.
- Participate in actively ‘in-sourcing’ work currently completed in China through new vendor identification and development.
- Obtain quotes from vendor base as directed for all purchases unless otherwise authorized by Purchasing Manager.
- Actively search global market for new companies capable of providing materials at a better price.
- Making sourcing recommendations.
- Responsible for entering purchase requisitions as required.
- Responsible for proposing quality and process-related changes.
- Must continuously strive to maintain and participate in a positive work environment which encourages open communication by all team members.
- Must have the ability to participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned when required for this position.

**Collaborations and Partnership Responsibilities**
- Communicating with and supporting all members of the Financial Team
- Must have the ability to communicate department status, issues or concerns to Purchasing Manager and Senior Buyers when warranted.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- College Diploma/Degree in business or similar field
- 1-3 years Purchasing and Supply Chain
- Tool shop or manufacturing environment with a basic knowledge of mold assembly/fabrication components.
- Microsoft Office knowledge (with emphasis on Excel Spreadsheets).
- Aggressive and strong negotiation skills.
- Solid attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in time management, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines as required.
- Logistic background and asset.
- Experience working in a multi-facility (geographically dispersed) environment
- Must have the ability to work independently and with mínimal to no supervision.
- Must have exceptional planning and organizational skills as they are critical in this role due to large volumes of information which must be managed in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to communicate and articulate technical issues with vendors and employees submitting requisitions.

**ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintains safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs
- Participate in required meetings and training.
