Qualifications:
Essential:

- Experience assessing and verifying information to determine eligibility to a program or for services.
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds (persons with disabilities, persons who are financially and/or socially disadvantaged, newcomers, different cultures, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks among competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse program participants, staff and service providers.
- Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills.
- The ability to work independently and within a team.

Desired:

- Knowledge of various community programs and social services.

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Resource Assistant, as a member of the service team provides support services to the Community Service Worker (CSW), and/or the Program Manager, in the performance of their responsibilities. Under the direction of the CSW, and/or the Program Manager, the Resource Assistant provides a variety of support services directly and indirectly to children, adults and their families within the mandate of any or all community programs
