Director, Strategy

As the Director of Strategy you will lead the team that owns Skip’s core strategic development and execution. Your team will be responsible for helping craft, refine, execute, and track Skip’s core strategic pillars.
You will work closely with (and report directly to) the Senior Vice President of North American Strategy for Just Eat Takeaway, focused on developing a long-term vision for Skip’s businesses and managing the budget, execution and reporting for critical strategic initiatives.
You will manage a growing team of Strategy Managers focused on rigorous data analysis, strategic plan development, project plan management/execution, and executive-level reporting and communication. All members of the Strategy team will report directly to you, with changes to the organization structure taking place as the team expands and evolves.
**What’s On Your Plate**:
- Working with the CEO of Skip and SVP of North American Strategic Development to create Skip’s short, medium and long-term strategy, and communicating the plan to all stakeholders involved including Skip’s executive team and JET Board of Directors
- Strategic Analysis and Decision-Making: Lead comprehensive analyses on diverse, business-critical decisions for senior leadership, leveraging data and insights to guide strategic direction. Projects will vary in scope, from weeks to multi-month engagements, requiring adaptability and depth in analysis
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Spearhead the annual strategic planning process, defining and owning the long-term vision and strategy. This includes setting clear timelines, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and identifying key initiatives and programs critical to our future success
- Product Strategy and Prioritization: Direct the development and prioritization of both product and commercial roadmaps, ensuring alignment with annual planning objectives and responding dynamically to market demands as necessary
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Assume full responsibility for conducting thorough competitive analyses and market research. Maintain an expert level of industry knowledge to inform strategic initiatives and decision-making processes
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead and nurture a team of three strategists, fostering an environment of growth, innovation, and strategic excellence
**Recipe For Success**:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or management/strategy roles within high-growth or innovative sectors, ideally with a focus on the Canadian market
- A strategic and critical thinker with a broad perspective, capable of understanding and integrating complex issues within the wider organizational and market context
- A relationship-first approach, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships across all levels of an organization
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives, facilitating decision-making and strategic alignment
