Burnaby, Canada Kandor Management Corporation Full time

Reporting to VP of Finance, the Controller will play an essential role in leading the accounting function to provide our Group of Companies with timely, accurate and relevant information. We are seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented, and hands-on accounting professional who will help our business grow and will motivate and support the team. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Overseeing all finance functions for the Group, including AR, AP and Payroll
- Ensuring accounting of revenues and expenses are performed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
- Ensuring monthly, quarterly, and yearly deadlines are met
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and government remittance
- Monitoring day-to-day banking and maintain company cash-flows
- Maintaining the inventory system, reviewing, analyzing, and verifying inventory and WIP
- Preparing and leading monthly financial reporting for the Group
- Leading the year end audit / review with external accountants
- Participating in budget and forecasting process
- Assisting in the improvement, development, documentation, and implementation of effective controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information
- Taking ownership for and proactively addressing challenges and issues
- Developing a high-performing team that can adjust to ambiguity and continuously enhance and develop quality financial reporting deliverables and analysis
- Forging strong relationships with stakeholders from all levels, including senior leadership, operational management, and other team members
- Partnering with management to refine business strategies, increasing profitability and operational efficiencies
- Being an essential backup to perform duties relating to payroll, if required

**Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting/finance supervisory experience
- Completion of a professional designation CPA (CA/CMA/CGA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing ability
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, accounting, and payroll software)
- Experience with Sage, Winteam or other accounting and ERP technologies
- Experience in contract services industry an asset
- Self-motivated, accountable and people oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills focusing on building consensus and persuasion
- Solid leadership in leading and mentoring a team and helping them succeed in their careers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
