Clip Clop is an established location in Calgary Northwest (Bearspaw Area), Alberta, at Carousel Stables. Clip Clop is a youth horsemanship education company with several initiatives in education, leadership, certification, and non-profit work. Clip Clop is an educational program; it is not competitive or recreational.

Clip Clop is a multicultural, horse breed, and horse activities company.

The **Head Instructor and Location Manager** play important roles within the Clip Clop Organization. This individual is responsible for the overall delivery of the educational and leadership program, the management of the horse teacher herd, and contributing to the growth of the program at the existing location.

This position involves teaching youth between the ages of 5 and 18 who have little to no experience with horses in both the Riding Lessons and Summer Camps. The instruction focuses on basic horsemanship skills, including ground handling, riding, and horse care. The goal is to prepare these participants to graduate from Clip Clop and transition to fellow horse industry riding programs. Clip Clop initiates their horsemanship education, while other programs in the industry continue their horse education.

The Calgary location is the flagship location and teaches between 700-1000 riders per year in our Horseback Riding Lessons, Summer Horse Camps and Youth Leadership Programs.

The **Head Instructor/Location Manager** will interact and participate in regular horsemanship lessons within the Clip Clop organization and events within the horse industry, mentoring the youth in the leadership program(s).

The program runs everyday but Fridays with a full roster. This **Head Instructor/Location Manager** will be assisted by an organized team of youth leaders for the delivery of the program and supported by an executive and business team for the continued growth of the existing location.

- Have an appreciation for youth ages 5-18 (riding program).
- Have an appreciation for youth 11-25 (leadership program).
- Possess high-quality human traits: integrity, benevolence toward youth and livestock, strong work ethic, manners, patience, communication skills, humility, willingness to grow personally and professionally, open-mindedness, confidentiality, ability to focus on the company's mission, vision, and values, and discipline.
- Have advanced skills as a horse person in all areas of horsemanship: riding, teaching, horse care, ground handling, nutrition, and stable management.
- Be able to operate within a budget.
- Prioritize the welfare and consideration of the horses, youth, and parents in all decisions.
- Be enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of the existing location by going the extra mile to ensure its success.
- Prioritize safety and respect, which are the primary values of the organization and should be resolutely practiced and taught.
