**Job Overview**

Reporting to the HR Manager the Jr. HR Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the daily operations of the Human Resources department and the front office. This position supports the daily operations of the facility covering a wide range of administrative tasks and supports the core HR functions.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare meeting minutes for posting and distribution
- Ensures employee files are maintained and up to date
- Meet and greet all visitors and answer any incoming phone calls
- Update and maintain all employee databases and advise department managers of employee milestones e.g. performance reviews
- Maintain job postings on internal and external recruitment sources
- Coordinates and schedules interviews and meetings for HR Department and Executive team
- Regularly meets with plant employees answering any question they may have and addressing employee general concerns, flagging and escalating issues to HR Leaders
- Assists for the distribution and posting of documents such as weekly plant schedule, monthly newsletter and any employee notifications
- Assists in the administration and tracking of documentation and data entry including hourly payroll changes, vacation requests, absences, performance review periods and benefit administration
- Assists in the onboarding process including facilitating orientation of new hires and coordinating pre
- employment paperwork
- Assists in maintaining information for corporate website (i.e. Careers page, LinkedIn page and other digital outlets
- Assists in coordinating all initiatives and programs including but not limited to employee engagement initiatives, training and development, projects, HR reporting and meetings
- Assists in coordinating employee functions and social events
- Assists in the maintenance inventory including tools, PPE and uniforms

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or working towards completion in a related field
- Recent graduate from a post-secondary institution is highly recommended
- Previous experience coordinating initiatives
- Ability to interact and build professional and effective working relations with employees at all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated sense of confidentiality and discretion is required
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work within tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must
- Advanced computer skill is a must
