**Job Description**:
**What is the Opportunity?**:
Reporting to the Manager, Publishing, the Production Specialist, Music Notation is responsible for the creation of all music scores for published books, academic materials, and learning and assessment initiatives serving The RCM Certificate Program and Learning Systems division.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Create music scores from prepared manuscripts to build and support the curriculum of The RCM Certificate Program, including:

- Examiner and student materials for practical examinations
- Publications supporting The RCM Certificate Program
- Select Digital Learning products
- Revise scores as directed and work with the Manager, Publishing to ensure quality, clarity, and accuracy of materials.
- Work with project team members to establish timelines based on project milestones.
- Establish templates for each series/project and revise as needed.
- Review and update style documents as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience as a music typesetter.
- Expert level experience with music notation programs such as Finale and Dorico is required.
- High degree of music literacy and knowledge is required.
- Familiarity with The RCM Certificate Program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.

**Additional Information**:

- Extended periods of seated work using a PC.
