**Machine set up assistant (Press assistant)**

**Day shift. 7:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday**

1. Permanent full-time job
2. Day shift : Monday to Friday **7:00 - 15:30**
3. 2 weeks of vacation
4. 3 paid personal days
5. Boots and prescription glasses paid

**Position Summary**:
1. Set up production equipment
2. Feed sheets into equipment
3. Monitor and remedy all quality issues
5. Prepare, clean and return tooling/print plates to and from storage
6. Bale scrap / Sweep / Housekeeping / Keep a clean safe working area
7. Palletize / Unitize product
8. Complete Quality Reports and all other required documentation
9. Perform all other tasks assigned by Supervisor

**Qualifications**

1. Must exhibit safe work ethics
2. Ability to read and interpret SmithInduspac drawings and specifications
3. Technical capabilities to set up and operate production equipment
4. Must have basic computer skills
5. Fluent with basic measurement devices in Metric/Imperial and conversion capabilities
6. Have a positive, engaged contributor style attitude
7. Previous use of Amtech system is an asset
8. Must be organized, detail and quality oriented
9. Previous work experience / training / education is an asset

**Working Conditions**: The position requires continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside, work around machinery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.01 per hour
