**Work Location**:International and Indigenous Languages (36 Regatta Ave, Richmond Hill, ON L4E 4R1)

**Work Schedule**:3 hours per week (during program hours - weekday evenings and/or Saturday mornings), effective between the months of September to June

**Salary**:$15.50/hour plus 4% vacation pay

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support students during classroom activities through a variety of instructional strategies that best meet students’ needs
- Promote positive attitudes and encourage enthusiasm for language learning
- Provide each student with appropriate and positive feedback that builds confidence and strength
- Develop and maintain an equitable and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate with the classroom instructor about students’ progress and concerns (the instructor will follow up with parents/guardians and site administrators)
- Ensure the safety of students both inside and outside the classroom for the duration of the program
- Establish safe dismissal procedures in consultation with the classroom instructor
- Assist students, volunteers, and instructors to restore the room to its original state at the end of the class
- Ensure that students do not touch the belongings of day school students, teachers, and classrooms
- Complete other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Fluency in various languages;
- Some teaching experience (preferably language teaching);
- Experience working with children;
- Related education (degree or diploma, etc.).
