In the last decade, the rate of Canadians with anxiety, depression, and bipolar have nearly doubled. Now, in any given year, one in five Canadians experiences a mental illness and 7% contemplate suicide. Substance abuse has also arisen with the Canadian Mental Health Association estimating that 21% of the population will meet the criteria for addiction in their lifetime. Unfortunately, the public system has not been able to serve the increased demand for intensive treatment, and the average wait time is now almost two months.
EHN Canada was founded in 2013 to support this growing demand. We believe that every Canadian has the right to mental health and addiction treatment services that are accessible (little to no wait times), affordable (paid for by your government or employer), and excellent (using outcomes measurement and evidenced-based practices). We have since grown to become the country’s largest private provider of mental health and addiction services. Clients now receive treatment via ten locations and a virtual program.
Under the leadership of Joe Manget, CEO and Chairman, EHN Canada won the Greater Toronto top employer award in 2023. That same year he published a book, Everybody’s Business: How to Ensure Canadian Prosperity Through the Twenty-First Century, detailing four pillars increase our country’s prosperity for future generations. The Inside Sales Representative serves this high inbound volume with a professional 30-minute phone consultation. This includes building a relationship, gaining a deep understanding of the situation through detailed discovery questions, and recommending an appropriate treatment program. To accomplish this effectively, teammates receive ongoing training on mental health disorders, how these conditions manifest and impact individuals, treatment modalities, ethics, confidentiality, and identifying client needs. Additionally, the Inside Sales Representative manages an active pipeline of inquiries while working with medical and clinical staff for admissions approval.
The admissions team is expected to double in the next five years. Since mastering this role requires an 18-24 month learning curve, leadership is only promoted from within. Not only are we seeking new members to join our team, but also future team leads, supervisors, managers, and directors.
Success in this position hinges on excellent communication skills, compassion, strong customer service abilities, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide information on programs and services available within the Edgewood Health Network or provide information/referral to external providers as appropriate.
- Conducts intensive addiction assessments and make clinical recommendations for treatment including assessments
- Proactively case manages clients. This includes communicating with client, family, referents, other health care professionals or organizations, legal professionals, and other external parties, as required.
- Documents all communication with clients, family, referents
- Act as liaison for community referral agents i.e. EAP representatives, occupational health organizations, advising of a client’s arrival and providing documentation as needed
- Actively participates with team members and the interdisciplinary team regarding the ongoing treatment planning and evaluation of the client and their care as needed
- Completes mandatory assessment or admission documentation, consents or other forms as required
- Prepare and maintain client files
- Maintain open communication with other interdisciplinary team members regarding client cases and attend team meetings as required
- Books pre-admission medicals with physician as required.
- Maintain client waiting lists
- Present program education sessions as required
- Preparing reports, data management including data entry as required
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum two years of sales experience and a proven track record of results
- Sales experience with a focus on consultative selling and customer relationship management preferred
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for sales process improvements while also developing and implementing new strategies
- Communication skills for effective verbal
