Diving Coach

**The facility**:
The Shaw Centre, home of the Saskatoon Diving Club, was opened in September 2009 and was host to the 2010, 2016, 2019 & 2022 Senior Nationals. The facilities include: 2 - 1M Duraflex Springboards, 2 - 3M Duraflex Springboards, trampoline and spotting rig, concrete platforms covered in a rubberized surface: 3M, 5M, 7.5M and 10M, built-in water sprayers and sparger under each springboard and platform.

**The opportunity**
- In collaboration with the Junior National Dive Coach (U13), selection of athletes for the competitive team
- Develop and implement training programs for each diver of the National competitive team (U17) that support their training path and identified talent
- Support and coach other competitive programs as required
- Development of an annual competition and travel schedule for each athlete in the competitive program
- Coach at all provincial and national meets identified in the fall of each competitive year
- At the start of each competitive year, meet with the parents of the competitive athletes to discuss annual goal setting and expectations for the year
- On a quarterly basis, meet with the parents of the competitive athletes to discuss progress against the annual goals
- Coach the Junior National athletes in the Junior National Coach (U13) absence
- Provide mentorship to aspiring coaches
- Perform administrative abilities including but not limited to, lesson planning, goal setting, Long/Short term planning

**You have**
- Level 3 NCCP Coaching Certification or be capable of achieving this level within the current competitive season
- Relevant diving and/or coaching experience at a national level
- Proven ability to retain athletes at the competitive level
- Police Record Check and vulnerable sector check
- Training in Safe Sport

**You bring**
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches
- Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work non-traditional hours (i.e. evening and weekends)
