Bookkeeper

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for day-to-day and month end accounting cycle, ensuring accurate general ledger coding.
- Complete all bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks including processing of all A/P, A/R, banking, credit cards, able, etc.
- Responsible for all payroll-related processing.
- Manage and process government remittances and deductions as required (WSIB, EHT, HST, etc.).
- Prepare all required journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare all bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Maintain petty cash and related reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reporting as required.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process as required.
- Assist in orientation of all new employees as it applies to scheduling and payroll.
- Filing and providing general administrative support.
- Other duties assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Certificate in accounting or business administration. Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
- Experience in Wagepoint an asset.
- Strong financial understanding and background in accounting, bookkeeping and related financial administration required.
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work within deadlines.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation required.
