Trainer and Support Specialist and.5 Employment Consultant for People with Disabilities. This individual will be responsible in part for delivering training and providing one-on-one support to employers on accessibility, inclusion, and creating welcoming working environments for individuals with disabilities as well as providing direct support to individuals with disabilities looking for employment.

Job Title:.5 FTE Employer Trainer and Supports Specialist /.5 FTE Employment Consultant for People with Disabilities
Salary Grid: $55,928 - $68,835

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver training and workshops to employers on accessibility, creating welcoming working environments, and disability-related topics.
- Provide one-on-one support to employers to identify and address barriers to accessibility and inclusion.
- Collaborate with other Yes Employment Services staff and PHARA staff to ensure that training and support are aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends related to disability inclusion and accessibility in the workplace and incorporate them into training and support provided to employers.
- Work with the project team to develop event marketing strategies.
- Take a client-centred approach when working with individuals to help them reach their career goals.
- Coach job seekers in creating a career path and provide support and tools needed to succeed.
- Work in partnership with Job Developers to provide individuals with job experience to help them grow their skills and knowledge.
- Assess individual eligibility and suitability for the various Employment Ontario and community programs available to maximise access.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive devices that support individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
- Represent Yes Employment Services at community events, conferences, and other gatherings.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, business administration, social work, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in employer training and support, disability services, or a related field preferred or supporting people with disabilities.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers and other stakeholders.
- Comfort with using technology, including virtual meeting platforms and online learning management systems.
- Certification in disability services or relevant professional certifications is a plus.
