Regina, Canada Seniors' University Group Full time

The Seniors’ University Group (SUG) Program Coordinator is a that is accountable to the SUG Board for fulfilling the following responsibilities:

- Organizing Non-Credit Courses for the Seniors’ University Group throughout the year.
- Working with the SUG Education Committee to identify courses and instructors; soliciting proposals from instructors.
- Meeting with the SUG Board’s Education Committee or/and the Executive Committee to present recommendations for courses and instructors for each Term.
- Establishing and executing an agreement with each instructor in the name of the organization in a form approved by the Board and including such terms and conditions as the Board directs.
- Working with the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), ensure booking of appropriate classrooms equipped with sufficient technology for SUG courses, as well as

communicating room setup and class sizes to CCE staff.
- In Cooperation with the SUG Board’s Communications Committee, developing and distributing print and electronic promotional materials, including social media.
- Developing and posting current information, maintaining links to documents on the SUG website with the support of the web designer.
- Setting up and managing Zoom meetings and Zoom classes as required or as necessary.
- Working with the SUG registration system, uploading class information, monitoring class registrations, developing reports for the SUG Education Committee and the SUG Executive Committee.
- Coordinating the reimbursement of expenses, honorariums, and negotiated fees between the instructors and the Treasurer.
- Ensuring that course evaluations are completed, collected, summarized, and presented to the Education Committee in a timely manner.
- Serving as the principal contact point between the Education Committee, Board Executive Committee, CCE, and the instructors prior to, during, and after the conclusion of the courses.
- Monitoring budgets associated with the delivery of classes.
- Other duties as may be required from time to time.

**Time**

It is estimated that the Program Coordinator will spend, on average, 50% of a full-time position successfully carrying out the responsibilities associated with the Program Coordinator contract. Work load may vary with the course delivery cycle with some periods requiring 100% full-time and others with no work required.

**Qualifications**

The Program Coordinator should be a mature individual with appropriate education and work experience.

Preference given for a person with a minimum of an undergraduate university degree

Experience with educational program development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge and comfort working with digital media as well as word documents and spreadsheets.

Ability to work with volunteers to support the development and delivery of SUG courses and other activities

The Program Coordinator has a contractual arrangement/relationship with the SUG of one year and may be succeeded by a contract of longer duration, which may be extended at the discretion of the Board for such period of time as the Board decides. The contract can be terminated by either party with one month’s written notice.

All liabilities and insurance costs to be the responsibility of the contractor. The incumbent is also required to register with the Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB).

A Criminal Record Check will be required.

Contractual Compensation will be commensurate with experience and educational level

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
