Summer Childcare Worker

Overview:
We are seeking a Summer student to be a Childcare Provider on our team. As a Childcare Provider, you will play a key role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play to stimulate their development
- Supervise and monitor children's safety at all times
- Provide basic caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, and maintaining cleanliness
- Implement daily routines and assist with educational activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere for children under your care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to educate and guide children in a classroom-like environment
- Strong caregiving skills and a passion for working with young children
- Certification or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus
This is a summer grant position and you must be planning to attend post secondary education in the Fall of 2024.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 weeks
Pay: $18.90 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
