**Overview**:
The instructor will provide an enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods. The instructor will ensure students progress effectively by maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment. The administration of assignments, tests, projects, and exams will help students stay engaged and give the instructor an accurate gauge of student success. The instructor will work under the NACIT guidance and supervision of the Department of Academic Affairs.

We seek professionals with a post-secondary degree in Child Development and previous experience or who specialize in working with children with various specialized needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and or laboratory format based on the approved curricula.
- Implement and manage college policies and procedures such as attendance, grade reports, midterm reports, student advising forms, and all other assigned educational materials on a timely basis.
- Complete and submit all grade books in a timely manner and mark all tests, examinations, and assignments.
- Plan and prepare weekly lectures based on required teaching plans and course outlines from the College's Department of Academic Affairs.
- Coordinate the placement of the ECE students at the college.
- Experience of Learning Management Systems like Canvas will be an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- This position requires a completed ECE program Diploma and license.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred two years of teaching experience in a post-secondary Diploma level program.
- A minimum of 5 years experience working with children and families; experience in Early Learning and Care Settings and/or School Age to Infants and Toddlers is required.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the postsecondary level.
- Strong network of contacts with other professionals, organizations, and employers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable ability to convey knowledge's conceptual and applied aspects to a broad range of students.
- Committed to excellence in teaching and learning and must have previous learning experiences. Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
