As a Junior Project Technician, you will report to the Head of Engineering in Bolton for the Ontario Region. The position will be responsible for producing **AutoCAD drawings** and material lists for customers. You will learn to provide design and technical assistance working closely with the engineering and sales team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage of a project and finalizes working drawings for site use.
- Ensures that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka Canada forming equipment and represent safe, economical, and efficient designs.
- Provides material lists for quotations and shipments to the site.
- Ensures that the work is designed using available inventory and conforms to contractual guidelines.
- Participates in job site visits. Identifies any improper implementation and can take action ensuring corrective measures are immediately implemented.
- Other duties/projects as assigned, such as participating in various company committees/teams.
- Ensures safe working practices and a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**:
- A Graduate from an architectural, civil, or construction engineering technology program holding a post secondary education in either a technical drafting/design program preferably or university degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in Canada the construction/ engineering industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code is preferred.
- Able to read blueprints is preferred.
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical and effective problem solving skills, technical proficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Organized team player able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
