Pool Technician

Frisco Pools Inc. is a fast-growing business and is looking to hire a Senior Technician/Repair Person for pools, spas, and water features. We are looking for individuals that are competent, able to work independently and with others, hard-working, and enjoy being outdoors. We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our organization.

This is a seasonal full-time position April-November, with scaled-back hours during the winter months (December to March). In the winter months the service/repair team will be assisting in a renovation project (there is always work to do).

**Job Details**:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with pool related equipment
- Install or repair plumbing
- Provide estimates for required repairs
- Organize schedule for the repair team
- Ensure proper inventory levels on hand
- Service and repair equipment related to a pool and/or water feature
- Pool openings, closings, system start-ups, cover cleaning, and removal
- Hot tub openings and closings
- Leak detection tests and repairs
- Pool maintenance and chemical knowledge is an asset
- Experience installing pool safety covers and pool liners is an asset
- Performing service calls to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with spa/swim spa/ water feature related equipment
- Install, replace and/or repair pumps, filters, heaters, liners, control systems, sanitizer systems, and other electrical components
- All aspects of spa/swim spa/water feature service and maintenance
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, water chemistry, and spa maintenance is an asset

**Position Requirements**:

- You **must **know how to swim
- A **minimum of 3 years **of pool and/or water feature experience
- Have your **own transportation to head office** (company vehicle will be driven during working hours)
- Steel toe work boots and appropriate workwear that will be appropriate for all weather conditions
- **Valid G-Drivers license** with a minimum of 3 years experience
- First-aid and WHMIS is an asset
- Experience working with a tablet
- Plumbing experience; some electrical experience
- Able to work outdoors in all weather
- Lifting and moving heavy objects
- Utilize hand and power tools
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Must be motivated
