**Job Title**: Sales and Operations Manager - Pet industry

**Main Purpose of the Job**:
To grow company sales and provide customer service to new and existing clients, while managing social media initiatives, participate in staff hiring and run the day-to-day business operations. The Sales and Operations Manager will also ensure that daily operations are aligned with the business core values, mission and vision, while adhering to company policies.

**Reports to**:Owner/Management of Move Your Doggie

You will collaborate with:

- Dog Walkers
- Pet Sitters
- Administrative Assistant

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Set sales goals, achieve sales growth and hit sales targets
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base
- Manage social media channels
- Provide customer service, build and promote strong, long-lasting client relationships by listening and understanding to client needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports with realistic forecasts to management
- Identify emerging markets while being aware of competitors and new products/services
- Recruit, hire, train and manage Walkers/Sitters
- Work with owner to identify behavior, training, and handling topics for Walker/Sitter training
- Lead efforts to develop and implement new best practices, processes, protocols & systems
- Create and present staff training presentations to the team and new hires
- Co-ordinate meet and greets with Walkers/Sitters
- Give verbal and written warnings and/or notices to staff as needed
- Is accountable and responsible for business operations and staff
- Adheres to ethical business practices and conforms to the highest standards of ethical behaviour, integrity and honesty.

**Qualifications**:

- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains confidentiality of all business and client related information.
- Sales experience: will be expected to show a measurable improvement in KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), including in scheduling, improved route planning, and increases in revenues and profits.
- Proficient with computers, internet, smartphone and the ability to learn Pet sitting software
- Self-aware with excellent customer service, time management skills with a strong attention to detail

**Asset**:

- Know and understand the pet industry
- Experience working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Have a Dog training/ behaviour certification
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
- Has a valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Has own insured and reliable vehicle

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast-paced and changing work environment
- Home office, phone, internet, computer
- May be required to lift dogs up to 50lbs
- Will be required to interact with clients, pets and team members both indoors and outdoors.
- Will be required to supervise team members
- Cell phone and internet allowance will be provided

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Commission pay
