Awake Residential Night Worker

Job Summary
Monitors and attends to the well being and safety of residents during the night. Maintains a comfortable and
clean-leaving environment.
Reports to
Program Coordinator managing the program, the Person on Call, or CO-CEO.
Key
**Responsibilities**:
1. Monitors residents through the night and attends to any medical and behavioral needs that arise
during the night.
2. Follow through on direction regarding specific residents left by the previous staff.
3. Supports residents with their morning and evening routines at the beginning and end of the shift.
4. Notifies staff of any major problems or emergencies. Responds to emergencies in accordance with
established policies and procedures.
5. Performs light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, emptying garbage, cleaning, and
laundry. Performs minor building maintenance such as changing light bulbs. Reports maintenance
needs to the supervisor.
6. Secures the building by arming alarms and locking doors and windows. Answers CheckMate calls &
responds accordingly.
7. Prepares and assists residents in breakfast preparation.
8. Ensure that necessary medications are administered and/or assist in programs designed to teach
individual to take their own medications and keep all necessary data, including signing of medication
sheets. Communicate any health problems to the Staff Team and Program Coordinator. Assist during
and after seizures or other health related crisis and provide appropriate documentation.
9. All regular employees are required to attend all program meetings. All employees are required
participate in training workshops. Communicate on a regular basis with other staff on shift, through
working relationship with Co-workers, Supervisors and Employers.
10. Maintain confidentiality. Adheres to all QCLA policies and conditions of employment.
11. Performs other related duties as required and any other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator.
12. Ensure all logbooks and documentation such as charting, checklist and incident reports are complete.
**Work Schedule**:
Friday/Saturday 23:00-07:00 = 16 hours/week
**Closing Date/Time**: April 2, 2024 at 14:00 hours.
