**Position Details**

The Infrastructure Manager oversees the Network and Telecom and Systems teams within IT Services, supporting most of the backend IT infrastructure for the ULethbridge Campus community. This position is responsible for setting the direction across campus regarding infrastructure as well as managing and overseeing the daily operations for the teams.

This position oversees the connectivity of all local and cloud compute, all network resources both on and off campus, all wireless network (WIFI) services across the campus, plus the telephone and communications systems that are part of the infrastructure. Our off-campus connectivity includes multiple redundant internet connections, connectivity to the CANARIE Research Network via Cybera, as well as to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SiX) where we have high speed connectivity to resources such as Google, Microsoft, and YouTube. The extensive network and communications infrastructure includes over 1,500 network devices and is relied on to support approximately 7,500 wired user devices and upwards of 30,000 unique wireless devices.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

**Position Qualifications**
- This role requires a very broad technical understanding of a wide variety of technologies. The manager should be able to understand, advise other campus groups with respect to technologies used and supported.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Systems and the Network and Telecom teams;
- Provide stellar infrastructure uptime and excellent customer service;
- Provide both short and long term (1, 2, 5 year) planning and budget projections regarding the infrastructure;
- Meet regularly with each team member, provide regular performance feedback, offer coaching to expand and develop the skillsets of the team.

The incumbent must be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and have experience managing a high volume of diverse activities under tight deadlines. Additionally, the incumbent must be an innovative self-starter, able to work with mínimal supervision, and possess the ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and logically.**Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $84,500.57 - $106,301.68 annually
