**Steele Auto Group is seeking a Controller to join our team in the Amherst, NS**

As **a Controller**, you are responsible for working closely with the Head Office Finance team. Working directly with dealerships in the day to day functions of the finances.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Managing the overall financial operation of the dealerships
- Manage and develop the Accounting team
- Review and oversee day to day accounting functions including Payroll, AP, AR, Balance Sheet and Income Statements
- Preparation of budgets and forecasting
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Preparation of financial statements
- Establishing and following best practices and procedures
- Work closely with Department Managers
- Provide reports to Corporate Head Office

**Requirements**:

- University degree or certificate in business/commerce/accounting or a related field
- 5+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably in an automotive dealership setting
- Technically inclined, with advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Experience with HRIS is considered an asset but not required
- Experience managing/supervising a team
- Collision experience is considered an asset

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 + Performance Bonus
