**Role and Responsibilities**:
As Funeral Home Support Staff, you will play an integral role in ensuring the seamless operations of our funeral home and providing compassionate support to families. Your responsibilities will include:
- **Reception Desk**: Answering incoming calls, directing inquiries to Funeral Directors, and warmly welcoming families and guests to the funeral home. You will maintain a friendly and empathetic demeanor while offering guidance and assistance to all visitors.
- **Event Assistance**: Collaborating with the team to set up and facilitate visitations, funeral services, memorial services, and other related events. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute to the overall success of these important occasions.
- **Facility Maintenance**: Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the funeral home premises, vehicles, and parking area. Your efforts will contribute to a welcoming and respectful environment for families and guests.
- **G Driver's License**: Possessing a valid G Driver's License is a requirement for this role, as you may be involved in transfers from the place of death to the funeral home.
- **Training and Growth**: As you gain experience and demonstrate your commitment to the role, you will have the opportunity to learn more advanced aspects of the funeral home operations. You will be trained in dressing deceased individuals and facilitating transfers, preparing you for further responsibilities within the organization.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Fluent English**:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced customer service experience, with a strong focus on empathy and compassion.
- Professional appearance and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility in work hours to accommodate the needs of our families.
- Strong public speaking skills, as delivering speeches to large crowds will be part of your daily tasks.
- Commitment to learning and growing within the organization.
- Possession of a valid G Driver's License is mandatory.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide support in emotionally charged situations.
