Through the Long Term Waste Management Strategy, Toronto committed to work towards zero waste and becoming a circular city. We strive to be a place where those who live, work, and visit Toronto are engaged and participate in waste diversion efforts. This work is essential in the City’s efforts to combat climate change and build a resilient, inclusive, green, and prosperous future for residents and businesses.

The Policy, Planning, and Outreach section of Solid Waste Management Services Division is seeking three (3) dynamic Project Leads for temporary positions in the following business units:

- **Circular Economy and Innovation unit**: one of the first dedicated circular economy teams in a North American municipality, this team of passionate, sustainability-oriented professionals is working to help the City of Toronto achieve its circular city goals, including waste reduction and diversion, economic prosperity, local emissions reductions, and enhanced social wellbeing and equity. Team members are engaged on a variety of research, analysis, and engagement activities to bring forward new policies, programs, and projects in circular economy and sustainable waste management.
