Foothill Greenhouses Limited is seeking a post-secondary summer student who can assist our Packing & Food Safety Supervisor in daily jobs related to the growing, packing and shipping of cucumbers. We have a modern, automated packing environment to reduce strenuous work and to keep productivity high.

Tasks may include assisting with packing or food safety assurance, sweeping and tidying up around the facilities, moving carts and bins around by hand or using equipment, cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces, and various other farm tasks.

Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and may require working on Stat Holidays. This work requires standing for long periods, and some lifting. A portion of the time may be spent doing work in the greenhouses where it can be very hot and humid. All equipment is properly guarded, and training/PPE will be provided for all tasks that require it.

Despite our needs to work hard at times and to always maintain productivity and quality, the people on our team are friendly and patient.

Applicant must be a Canadian Permanent Resident who is eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
