**Distributed Undergraduate Program Coordinator, College of Nursing**:
**PRIMARY PURPOSE**: The Distributed Undergraduate Program Coordinator is one of two Undergraduate Program Coordinators who report to the Associate Dean Academic. They are responsible for the coordination of the administrative and operational needs of the undergraduate programs. The distributed coordinator, located at the Prince Albert Campus supports this campus and eight distributed College sites. The Saskatoon Campus Coordinator is located at the Saskatoon Campus College of Nursing.

**NATURE OF WORK**: The Distributed Coordinator demonstrates leadership and diplomacy to ensure efficient and effective operation of the undergraduate programs. This coordinator works collaboratively with the Saskatoon College of Nursing Program Coordinator, provincial undergraduate teams, and supports the work of the Associate Dean Academic. The coordinators lend quality improvement expertise to all involved in college and university academic processes. The Coordinators use discretion and sound judgment to set their own priorities, and contribute to short and long term College of Nursing plans, to ensure that the needs of the students and of the College are met. The ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships both internal and external to the college is critical for this role. The distributed coordinator is responsible for communications with Regional Community Colleges who host the College of Nursing distributed programs. The position may be stressful given the high volume of work, complex problems, tight deadlines, and the need for accuracy. The standard for the quality and timely completion of work is high. Considerable discretion is required, as this position is privy to, and works closely with, sensitive and highly confidential information.

**Accountabilities**:

- Provides all required supports to the Associate Dean Academic to ensure the Associate Dean is fully prepared for all commitments (ie. Preparing background material and briefing notes, ensuring travel and administrative arrangements are made; ensures timely and judicious articulation of issues that the Associate Dean needs to be aware of; assists with recruitment strategies for the distributed sites)
- Provides operational leadership and coordination for the processes in the undergraduate programs and committees including strategic support for the Saskatoon-based lead Administrative Assistant for the Undergraduate Education Committee and it’s various Sub-Committees
- Provides planning support for distributed site visits, graduations, problem management, and organization of regular meetings with faculty, students, community colleges and stakeholders
- Works collaboratively with the Saskatoon-based undergraduate program coordinator to lead, assign tasks, manage and evaluate performance of provincial clerical support team
- Develops in collaboration with the Saskatoon Campus coordinator, a project management blueprint for the coordination and implementation of annual processes such as consultation on the development of program timetables; student and instructor handbooks; academic calendar and course catalogue updates; orientations; student promotions, preparations for convocation, and other similar processes contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the undergraduate programs
- Makes recommendations for changes to policies and procedures within the undergraduate programs and contributes to/implements the changes
- Provides information and documentation in a logical and relevant format to students, staff, faculty and committees within the college, student enrolment and services division, and university as appropriate (example: student letters of reference, curriculum revisions, statistical information, information for student loans and admission requirements, etc.)
- Works with campus partners and the Strategic Analyst in the College to continue to improve data management processes and quality
- Effectively manages assigned projects by taking responsibility for timely and accurate outcomes.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**:A relevant undergraduate degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills**:Strong written and verbal communication skills and relationship building skills are essential to the success of this position. Experience working in a high-volume, fast paced setting and demonstrated ability working independently as well as a collaborative member of a team are also important.
