**Position Summary**:

- In accordance with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Northern Health, the Coordinator of ECT Services works collaboratively with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person centered and recovery oriented care. Utilizes evidence-informed practice and education theory to provide consultation and clinical expertise to staff in hospital, outpatient and community settings. Demonstrates expertise and role models direct care skills to health care professionals and, as appropriate, participates in direct care of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) patients.
- Provides clinical support and leadership by developing and implementing policies and procedures, coaches and trains nursing staff in the delivery of care, coordinates the scheduling and booking of treatments and/or consults, participates in the clinical assessment of patients, and provides education and support to patients and their families.
- **Shift Rotation/Hours of work**: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00
- **University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC)** is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, and a hub for specialized health services. It’s also a teaching hospital:
- Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia.
- Hosts residents in UBC’s Family Practice Residency Program
- Is a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Must have (Nursing Degree) Three (3) years' recent, related clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
