Showroom Lighting Supervisor

Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Showroom Lighting Supervisor will work with the lighting team to enhance the team's product knowledge, provide performance support and assist in driving sales.
The position requires the Showroom Lighting Supervisor to work a flexible schedule and they must be able to work any day, Sunday to Saturday.
**What you will do**:
- Connect regularly with your team to provide clear job expectations and provide performance coaching
- Cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork through open communication and clear expectations
- Coordinate and schedule team learning & development activities
- Facilitate various training, product knowledge, and customer service training
- Provide direction on company customer service policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead by example, demonstrating customer service excellence at every interaction
- Review and update product price tags as required
- Manage the showroom lighting displays and ensure displays are kept current
- Maintain the showroom's visual standards, including cleanliness and organization
- Complete manager responsibilities, including opening & closing, handling escalated issues, providing overrides, etc. while the manager is away
**About you**:
- Degree, diploma or certificate in design is preferred
- ALA certification is a strong asset
- Strong lighting product knowledge, preferably in luxury brands
- Minimum 5 years' experience in customer service and sales
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail or showroom environment
- Previous experience leading and supervising a team
- Ability to lead and motivate others to drive sales
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
- Experience using ERP (e.g. Eclipse) is a definite asset
