Do you have the talent and desire to grow as an installation/service technician? is seeking a full time Back Barn Service and Installation Technician to work out of our Salford ON location. Competitive hourly wage Flexible work schedule Opportunities for growth and training As an in-barn Service and Installation Technician, you will install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Test, inspect and examine machinery and equipment; Maintain machinery, service motors, gearboxes, PLC, frequency drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, scale repairs, feed systems Provide customer support and recommendations to farmers; effectively manage and communicate any concerns, problems, or complaints Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operation of newly installed equipment. Provide customer training on maintenance, adjustments and repairs of newly installed equipment Work as member of a crew, alongside farmers/customers, and/or alone Must be able to work in all weather, indoors and outdoors. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends if needed Previous dairy, poultry and hog in-barn equipment experience preferred; experience or knowledge in electronics and mechanics Availability to work on call hours (evenings/weekends) Farming or agriculture background an asset Post-secondary education in Electrical Education preferred What started out as a 2-man operation working with feed and manure handling equipment out of a garage, has grown into a thriving business with four locations, over 65 highly experienced employees, and 30+ equipment lines for dairy, hog, goat, beef and poultry farming.
