POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a vital role in our data-driven strategy by leveraging your expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL (SSIS), data engineering, data modeling, and SSAS (OLAP Cube). Your primary responsibilities will include data integration with internal information systems, third-party data providers, and other platforms to build a robust data pipeline encompassing various data types such as sales, marketing, and demographic data. Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and data analysis, as well as experience with Data Visualization BI Tools like Tableau or Power BI, will be essential assets in this role. Additionally, you should be able to evaluate current processes and suggest any appropriate improvements to increase efficiency, reduce loss, and enhance the customer experience.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Management
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations using Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS).
- Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, optimizing, and ensuring data integrity within the Microsoft SQL Server environment.
- Create and optimize data models to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Integrate data from internal systems, third-party data providers, and other platforms to build a comprehensive data pipeline.
- Process and transform data using Python to automate tasks and data pipeline.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
Data Analytics
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to drive business decisions.
- Use Google Analytics 360 (GA360) to track and analyze website traffic, conversion rates, user behavior, and other key metrics. Ability to set up custom reports, create segments, and implement advanced features like Enhanced Ecommerce tracking.
- Use Python to perform data consolidation, explorative analysis and generate insights.
Data Visualization
- Use Data Visualization BI Tools like Tableau or Power BI to develop visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports.
- Design reports/dashboard/charts to show trends in customer purchase and evaluate changes in the online retail market.
Business Process and Project Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions that support business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting mechanisms to track and measure them, providing the deep analysis of data and then determining the best way to represent it visually to managers and stakeholders.
- Document data integration processes, data models, and system configurations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence, data engineering, and ecommerce to drive innovation and process improvements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, preferably in the ecommerce industry.
- 2+ years’ experience with data engineering pr
