Be a pioneer at Scientific Games as a founding Senior Data Scientist. This remote role focuses on building innovative decision systems and tackling complex business challenges. Join a dynamic startup environment within a leading firm specializing in lottery games and sports betting. You will collaborate with experienced Data Scientists to design and deploy scalable systems for forecasting, optimization, and recommendations. Take ownership of your projects and drive measurable impacts while mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy end-to-end decision science systems
- Build real-time recommendation pipelines using advanced architecture
- Translate ambiguous business problems into structured hypotheses
- Collaborate with MLEs on self-service deployment tooling
- Mentor junior Data Scientists and enhance team capabilities
- Master’s or PhD in a STEM field
- 2+ years of hands-on data science experience
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end systems
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling
- Experience with multi-stage ranking and decision systems
