* We’re looking for a skilled Journeyperson Carpenter and Apprentice Carpenters who takes pride in their craft and can deliver high‑quality work on a variety of construction and maintenance projects. This role is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and suited to someone who knows their way around formwork, framing, finishing, and everything in between. You’ll work closely with the site superintendent, interpret drawings and specifications accurately, and complete tasks safely and efficiently. If you’re someone who shows up prepared, communicates well, and can adapt to changing site needs, you’ll fit right in. Interpret drawings, specifications, building codes, and direction from the superintendent Lay foundations, plan task sequences, and carry out all carpentry‑related activities Estimate and select materials required for tasks to ensure adequate supply Prepare framing for concrete, mix and pour cement, and build/remove structural formwork Set up scaffolding and work safely at heights Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment Collaborate with the superintendent and follow established quality control systems Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate (Red Seal preferred; willingness to obtain Red Seal required) Registered 1st-4th year Apprentice Carpenters Actively working in the trade with strong knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols Proficiency in blueprint reading, layout, and materials estimation Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Clear communication with superintendent, crew, and other stakeholders Adaptability and solid time‑management skills Experience with a large general contractor Concrete and formwork experience Certifications such as Fall Protection, Elevating Work Platforms, or other site‑related tickets There is only one class of units at Chandos, because we believe everyone should be treated equal. Expected hourly rate: $25-$40 This position also includes a competitive bonus program.
