AEP (Adobe Experience Platform) Developer – RT-CDP & AJO 12-Month Contract | Remote (EST Hours) | Possible Full-Time Conversion Work Environment Remote (EST hours) during contract 2 days onsite weekly if converted to full-time Fast-paced, collaborative team focused on digital transformation and real-time personalization Overview Seeking a high-impact AEP Developer with deep expertise in Real-Time CDP (RT-CDP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to design and optimize scalable customer experience solutions. This role enables real-time personalization, omni-channel engagement, and data-driven marketing across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) / Real-Time CDP Translate business and marketing objectives into scalable AEP architectures Build and configure AEP data models, schemas, identities, classes, and field groups Set up and monitor data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance Develop real-time segmentation and audience activation strategies Implement data quality rules, validate ingestion flows, and troubleshoot ingestion issues Use AEP APIs / SDKs for real-time streaming across platforms and connectors Ensure compliance with data classification, retention, privacy, and regulatory requirements Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Build end-to-end customer journeys including triggers, events, orchestrations, and automations Develop omni-channel messaging (email, SMS, mobile push) aligned with brand standards Configure Channel Surfaces, Subdomains, IP Pools, and warming strategies Implement Decisioning and Offers with eligibility rules, placements, and ranking logic Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, integration issues, and synchronization challenges Offer Decisioning Build and optimize personalized offer placements driven by customer context Create and refine decision tables, rules, and ranking logic Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with developers, engineers, project managers, and marketing teams to support delivery Serve as a subject matter expert; mentor junior AEP/AJO resources Support full SDLC including discovery, design, testing, and deployment Continuous Improvement Recommend enhancements to performance, scalability, and governance Maintain documentation, frameworks, and best practices Must-Have Qualifications Hands-on Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) development experience Deep AEP / RT-CDP expertise including schemas, ingestion pipelines, segmentation, and activation Experience building omni-channel journeys in AJO (triggers, events, journeys, decisioning) Experience troubleshooting ingestion, mapping, and data synchronization issues Strong stakeholder communication skills, especially with marketing teams Nice-to-Have Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Adobe certifications (AJO, AEP, RT-CDP, AEM) Background in enterprise digital marketing environments Mentoring and knowledge-sharing experience
